Atheism is not always just a lack of belief in any gods. Nowadays, it can also be the conscious/cowardly choice to believe that it's rational to deny personal participitatation in the scientific method, by instead preaching blind faith in the scientific concensus that supports the materialistic position. Atheism, the positive claim that life can come from non-life, mathematical proofs and models that we discover, exist without a mind, geological findings, historical artefacts and scientific experiments that support a Creation model, should all be discredited without the need to demonstrate any counter evidence and/or natural explanations.

Yet no matter how far you are lost, the objective truth can always set you free, if you are willing to choose to test all things and follow the scientific method!
Apophasis/Deduction = Verify resulta with personal experience, so that you can exclude negative conclusions and get closer to the truth. This cannot be done for sci-fi theories like the BigBang, Dark Matter, Space Exploration and the Sun orbiting the Milkyway galaxy. Hence a Skeptical Epistemology being the most rational approach to choosing what to believe to be potentially true and what you undeniably know to be false!
*Thanks to the dishonesty and cowardice of Matt Dillahunty and Jon Cohen, for both lying about never having been presented with any evidence of Intelligent Design and/or Divine Intervention and convincing themselves and others that they are not science fiction fanatics, while denying the scientific method to preach blind faith in whatever scientific consensus and secondary information supports their preconceived ideas.
Surely a better approach would be to follow the evidence wherever it takes you but always try to maintain a skeptical epistemology.
